McKensey Berg

McKensey is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and received her B.S. in Psychology from South Dakota State University with minors in Human Development and Family Studies, Mental Health Services, and Religion. Her research interests focus on family dynamics, trauma, and mental health equity. McKensey is particularly passionate about increasing mental health care access for children and adolescents in underserved rural areas, especially those within the foster care system. Her master's thesis intersects these fields by exploring foster parents' experiences and how they relate to their professional quality of life and fostering satisfaction.
