Duncan Halligan

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Duncan Halligan is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Currently, he is pursuing an American Chemical Society (ACS) certified Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of South Dakota. Duncan is specifically interested in child and adolescent psychiatry and hopes to investigate how obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, and traumatic experiences influence resilience and mental health outcomes in children and adolescents. In the future, he plans to attend medical school or pursue M.D./Ph.D. degree, with the goal of bridging clinical practice and research to improve mental health care.
